Okay, here are some random pictures of the good, the bad, and the ugly of a day spent on Orion in the marina, just relaxing and recuperating from too much sun the weekend before...
Yes, Orion is our home...together with faith, family, and friends :o)
And here is our favorite drawing of a pelican by artist Julia Klumb, our wonderful daughter...the stains are made on purpose (with coffee), because that's what we requested...looks awesome...thank you so much Julia! It's mounted in the galley (kitchen), so we can always admire it, and of course it cheers me up every time I do the dishes :o)
On this hot and humid day in the marina we enjoyed the cool air conditioning on Orion...it compensates for not being "out there on the ocean", well at least a little bit! There is really nothing better than being "out there" with a nice ocean breeze...ah well. Here are some pictures of the salon...first one to port (left side) and second one to starboard (right side).
Just to continue the random theme, here's a glimpse of a helicopter hovering over the marina and the Salinas Water Taxi passing by...
Last but not least of the good...here's the dinner that hubby whipped up in no time on return to the house...pork chops filled with apples and spices, fried potatoes with cheese, Italian beans...yummy, yummy, yummy. Thank you so much sweetie :o)
That was the good...leaving the bad and the ugly...my blistered lips, the result of too much sun and forgetting to put on sun screen! And this is what it looks like a week after the exposure, so you can imagine what it looked like a few days ago! Hasn't happened to me in over 20 years! Don't do this at home folks! Luckily all is good now. Lesson learned :o)
